This year the Summit of Awesome comes to the West Coast — to the craft haven of Portland, Oregon. It will be held in the Alberta Arts District of Portland, and home base for the Summit is McMenamins Kennedy School (5736 N.E. 33rd Ave. Portland, OR 97211).
You can arrive by plane via Portland International Airport, train via Amtrak or automobile. Additional resources for those traveling to PDX from out of town are PortlandOnline and Travel Portland.
Getting Around Town Without A Car
The Portland public transportation system is easy to navigate and will bring you different parts of the metropolitan area. For up-to-date schedules and trip planners visit http://trimet.org/. We encourage you to take public transportation whenever possible. Portland is also known for being one of the most bike-friendly areas of the country.
So for those looking to commute via bike, here’s a great resource on how to get around town. If you’re looking to rent a bike to explore Portland, check out BikePortland.org.
And if you need a last-minute ride anywhere there’s also the Green Cab & Green Shuttle for cab options during your stay.
