For those traveling to Portland for this year’s Summit of Awesome in June, now is the time to start firming up those travel plans including where to stay. Lodging at the Summit location, McMenamins’ Kennedy School, is limited and will sell out.

By staying at the Kennedy School you’ll get the benefit to be on site for three days of suburb speakers, workshops and making friends and crafts in the Make Something Awesome Area.

Amenities include a movie theater, soaking pool and numerous bars. Plus the hotel rooms of the renovated elementary school have chalkboards and they brew their own beer on site.

Other nearby lodging can be found on this map, which includes a pretty sweet hotel for dogs. Other resources for those traveling to PDX include PortlandOnline and Travel Portland. More lodging and travel information will be available as the Summit approaches.

Official registration and more event details will be up soon. You can find more information about last year’s Summit including photos, wrap-ups and our Hello Craft podcast here.
