If you read my blog entry about Earth Day, you’ll remember that I sheepishly mentioned my ongoing struggle with eco-friendliness.  Yes, I am one of those people who still uses paper and plastic grocery bags, but I am on the hunt for cool totes and will soon be a little less of a nimrod.  These are five of my favorite totes so far.

The above tote is designed by artist Nick Lu.  He offers a couple other equally fantastic designs in his online shop.

maptotes

I’ve always been a sucker for city related items and especially those with maps.  Maptote offers a nice selection of cities to choose from.

poketo-1

Poketo is a company that collaborates with a very talented group of artists to make “art for your everyday”.  This tote by Maikon Nery is one of my favorites things on their site.

I adore this Beatles haircut tote made out of 100% recycled cotton.  Available from tcd design

reiter8-2

Reiter8 makes accessories out of recycled sailboat sails.  I couldn’t love this idea more if I tried.  It’s a nice addition to my imaginary nautical lifestyle.
