Rania Hassan is a graphic designer, painter and illustrator. She was born in New York City and grew up traveling the world. Since studying graphic design at the American University of Beirut she has worked as an art director for Leo Burnett, the United Nations, The Shakespeare Theatre, and The White House. In 2006 she started her handmade business, goshdarnknit, with a series of illustrated handprinted ‘One Page Tales.’ The series of illustrations were sparked by her strong belief that stories shouldn’t be hidden on bookshelves, and that art should be accessible. This led her to hand screenprinting on her favorite notebooks, Moleskine Cahiers, and since then has just traveled deeper into the world of illustrated notebooks. When not printmaking or illustrating for goshdarnknit, she’s working on painting and knitting for her knit series of artwork which she sells online and exhibits in galleries around the world.

We are excited to have Rania speaking on the The Ins and Outs of Trade Shows at the Summit of Awesome.
