I realize that I’ve reached an all time low with this week’s unfortunate title.  But perhaps you will overlook it when you see all the wonderful things I have to share with you.

Above photo shows artist Franc Grom with one of his masterpieces.

From National Geographic:

“Grom uses an electric boring tool to drill approximately 2,500 to 3,500 holes in an eggshell. Inspired by traditional Slovenian designs, he has been known to pierce a shell as many as 17,000 times.”

I’m not typically a fan of objects with quotes on them but I have a fondness for Abe Lincoln and all things ceramic so these ceramic eggs do appeal to me.  But what I really love is that palomasnest offers these eggs with customized text.  Would a “bad” one be too obvious?

Artist Gail Bartel has this nice  simple tutorial for how to make a papier- mache  egg diorama on her blog.   Time to get to work!
