I know, I know…you’ve probably just packed away the twinkling lights and tinsel.  Valentine’s Day is the furthest thing from your mind, as you are presently preoccupied with how you are going to keep your newest New Year’s resolution.  But here’s an early opportunity to spread some love and play Cupid to a worthy cause.

The fun loving folks over at fred flare have designed a way to put your creativity and cut and paste skills to work for Elder Craftsmen.  EC is on a mission to engage the 55 and over crowd by encouraging their creativity and inspiring their involvement in the community through craft.  Many of us gain our inspiration from parents and grandparents, this is a great chance to give back.

Want to get involved?  Simply construct a Valentine’s Day card (and envelope) any way that strikes your fancy.  Send it on over to fred flare and they’ll feature it for sale in their online store.  All proceeds from the sales of the cards go directly to Elder Craftsmen.  Act fast because they need the cards in-stock and ready to sell by January 15th!

About Becky Duex

Becky is that girl you see talking to herself in the yarn store. She also talks to bolts of fabric and mutters to herself about various makings while riding the metro. She's crazy about craft and if she's not actually in the process of making something, she's thinking about it, sketching it, sharing it or writing about it. She is super excited to be a contributer to this site and to further the craft cause around the world. You can keep tabs on her and the many things she makes at thischickadee.blogspot.com.
